5.07 The Kingdoms of Life

Time to Reflect

Using a system of organization makes research and study of living things much easier. All living things are placed in one of six kingdoms. Each organism in a kingdom has similar cellular characteristics and energy requirements. When a new organism is identified, scientists can use its characteristics to classify and study it.
