Time to ReflectEnergy is an important resource for life. Cells must have a way to obtain it and control the use of energy. Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are two reactions that allow living things to transfer the energy from the sun and convert it into a usable form that cells can use. Photosynthesis converts the energy from the sun into food energy and cellular respiration releases the energy in the food for cell use. Only plant cells carry out photosynthesis. The cells of other organisms must get energy from the foods the organism eats.
ActivityVenn Diagrams are visual tools used to illustrate how two things are alike and how they are different. In this activity you will complete a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Open the Venn Diagram link below to get started.
