Growing! Yes, we all do it! Think about all the times when you pulled on a pair of pants that were two inches too short, or when the shoes that fit a few months ago are now a couple of sizes too small leaving you with painful blisters. Growth is possible through cellular division known as mitosis.

Mitosis is the part of the cell cycle where cells replicate to make new identical cells.
Mitosis is how typical body cells reproduce.
If you cut your finger, it is mitosis that regenerates the new skin cells.
Some cells like human nerve cells and muscle cells do not divide after they are formed.
