Exploring Moodle Modules

Forums provide an environment for students and teachers to have endless group discussions on any topic. Like any discussion, there are a number of options for determining who 'speaks' and when. Teachers can restrict who is allowed to start new topics of discussion and who is able to reply. Discussions can be limited to specific time frames and the forum can be created to allow posts to be rated by teachers and/or students. Teachers can also require students to be subscribed to the discussion forum, meaning that each message posted to the forum will be e-mailed to each student in the course.
