Parts of the Flower
Your focus in this part of the activity will be to investigate the parts of an angiosperm (flowering plant) that are involved in reproduction—the flower. We need to know:
- the general purpose of reproduction by flowering
- the function of the individual flower parts
Access the web resource. Review the parts of a plant and then continue into the flower portion.
- Use the web resource link below to study the flower in detail.
- Add a drawing with labeled parts to your Travel Log.
- Find out the function or role of each part in the process of plant reproduction (Notes Page).
(Skip the page on vegetative reproduction for now.)
- Then complete the quiz on the parts of the flower at the end of the tutorial. (Copy and paste the completed diagram into your Travel Log.)
