Certain viruses that attack bacteria are called bacteriophages. Scientist now believe that these viruses could be altered so they will target and kill some kinds of harmful bacteria. This means that in the future we not be using antibiotics to kill harmful bacteria instead we could uses genetically altered viruses. How cool is that!
