Taxonomy uses Greek and Latin language. It may seem a little more difficult to read, but there is a good reason for it. Greek and Latin are not spoken languages today. That means they do not change. Sometimes when languages are used, culture (and teenagers) can alter a word to have several meanings. Because Greek and Latin are “dead” languages they stay consistent. That means the scientific names remain the same over time.
